CeCe Winans Nominated To Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame
(Undated) — American gospel singer CeCe Winans is among the 2025 nominees for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. She was nominated in the Contemporary Songwriters/Artists category along with Jim Lauderdale, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. The new group will be honored at the 55th Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on October 6th at the Music City Center. Winans has earned 17 Grammy Awards, which is the most for any female gospel singer.

Eight tunesmiths were nominated in the Contemporary Songwriters category.

Priscilla Marie Love, known professionally by her stage name as CeCe Winans, has received 17 Grammy Awards, the most for any female gospel singer.

“Well-deserved congratulations to all the nominees in our contemporary categories,” Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame executive director Mark Ford said in a statement. “We look forward in several weeks to announcing those who will be inducted this fall as members of our Class of 2025.”
All nominees experienced their first significant songs at least 20 years ago. One songwriter/artist will be elected from the contemporary category by members of the Hall of Fame along with other professional songwriters and artists from a variety of genres who are prominently identified with Nashville and who have written/co-written at least one original and significant Nashville song.
In addition, three more writers will be named to the Class of 2025.
