Things do happen for a reason. Just ask Joy Enriquez. Pegged as the next big artist, the singer was sitting on top of the world in 2000 with her first single, the international hit “Tell Me How You Feel.” But despite the song’s out-of-the-box success and an eagerly anticipated debut album, something wasn’t right.
“While performing some of those songs, I learned it wasn’t my calling,” recalls Enriquez. “I was starting to become what the world wanted me to be—sing this, do that, wear this— instead of the other way around.”
Fast forward to 2015. Enriquez is now poised to be the next major inspirational artist with “Hallelujah.” The uplifting anthem, featuring classical violinist phenom Lindsey Stirling, signals the official launch of Lifestyle Music Group (LMG). Distributed through Capitol Christian Music Group, LMG is Grammy Award-winning producer Rodney Jerkins’ formal venture into the gospel and Christian music arenas.
“Hallelujah” fittingly underscores the Lifestyle philosophy: lifestyle is a ministry and ministry is a lifestyle.
As the song opens, Enriquez drapes her engaging soprano against a simple, guitar-driven backdrop. From there, the track builds to a crescendo as drum and bass rhythms, accented by a backing chorus, join the celebration.
Before you know it, you’re singing and dancing along to the jubilant cadence with Enriquez:
“My heart is overjoyed / Kingdom has finally come … / No I won’t walk I will run / I hear the trumpets sound … / All the angels, all the world singing / Halle, Hallelujah, Halle Hallelujah …”

“I wanted songs that rejoice in Him,” explains Enriquez. “With all the current events happening in our world today, it’s more evident than ever that our Saviour, Jesus Christ, is soon to return. Even if we’re in pain, we can still praise God, hold our hands up in the air and sing hallelujah. ‘Hallelujah’ was inspired by God’s promises of His return. Because when He comes back, there won’t be pain or suffering anymore.”
