Singer/actress, Meka King, is preparing to release her sophomore project:
“My assignment is to allow God to use me to evoke change in the lives and hearts of His people.”
With a ministry that has spread internationally to England, France, Africa and Canada, King has toured with International Praise and Worship Leader, Ron Kenoly, and sang background for artists as Martha Munizzi, William McDowell, The Kenoly Brothers, Freddy Rodriguez, BJ Putnam, LaRue Howard, and Clint Brown. To date King has appeared on Trinity Broadcasting Network’s PRAISE THE LORD (as a guest and Host), Bobby Jones Gospel, ENTER-IN (at ORU), Today’s Family, FOX Morning Blend, KRAZE-TV, and The Samy Priso Show and has been a featured musical guest at the House of Blues Gospel Brunch in Orlando.
As a Worship Leader in the Central Florida area, King has served at Real Life Christian Church, New Beginnings Healing Center, Christian Family Worship Center, Proclaim the Truth Bible Fellowship and the Orlando House of Prayer, a Mission Base of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. She also led worship as a member of the Frontline Worship Team at Faith World Center and traveled with Rick Gage Ministries for Go Tell Crusades.
As an actress she performs for several Central Florida theme parks. She is a member of the cast of Harambe Nights: Disney’s 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Lion King Movie and the lead character in Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees at Universal Studios Florida where she also plays Aretha Franklin in the Blues Brother’s Show. In addition, she was the female singer for Cirque Du Soleil’s La Nouba show in Orlando; the Princess (Kibibi) in the Festival of the Lion King Show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom; and the lead singer in Sea World’s Christmas show, MIRACLES, which features Shamu the killer whale. And if that isn’t enough, she was an ensemble character and featured singer at the Holy Land Experience, a Christian-themed park.
A heart for sowing into the lives of young girls and women, she leads worship and speaks for girls and youth ministries, women’s meetings, as well as worship conferences. Her non-profit organization, KINGDOM Ministries Global Missions Inc., (KMGM) works in the Central Florida community to impact lives and meet the physical needs of people in the area. KMGM also ministers to the total man through food and clothing drives, outreach programs, workshops for youth, volunteering, counseling and contributions.
Overall, Meka King’s heart is to reach those who need the message of Jesus Christ-going beyond the music and the stage.
