TBR — Greensboro, NC – The North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild Annual Convention (NCGAG) proved successful with a great turn out of Music lovers and Industry executives last weekend.

Under the leadership of Bishop Arvetra Jones, Jr., President of the NCGAG and Michael Boykin, Vice President of the NCGAG, the week long event included classes that were held at the Embassy Suites, 204 Centreport Drive, Greensboro, NC.

Workshop topics included, “Marketing – Print, Internet Radio & TV”, “Artist Development/The Benefits of Quality Production”, “Spiritual Nuggets”, “Understanding The Importance of ALL Radio”, “Marketing, Promotions & TV”, “College Radio, Internet, The Break Down”, “How To get Your Music played on Radio,” “Spiritual Nuggets Apostle”, “The Break Down of Copy Rights” and “New Artists Development with NCGAG’s National Artist”.

Each session lasted about one hour, with heavy interaction from class participates during the Q & A session.

Following in the footsteps of the National Convention for the Gospel Music Workshop of America and the Gospel Announcers Guild, this also quickly became a great place to network. Between industry executives, radio announcers, up and coming artists to established industry veterans there were no questions left unanswered or no contact left unlisted.

Facilitators and Panelists included Jerry Smith, Sheilah Belle, Chris Squire, Bobby Parker, Michael Boykin, Kevin James, Reggie Rich, Ronald Smith, Wanda Adams, Apostle Veryl Howard, Kenny Smith, Rick Rhonda, Andre Bright, Maurice Rogers, Leroy Harper, Linda Greenwood, Roderick Fimmons, Archie Swidell, James & Regina Howard, Ruth La’Ontra, Kim Person, Dr. Larry D. Reid, Todd Curry, Pastor Henry Dixon, Shelia Lee, D. Cherie Lofton, Darlene Vinsion, Mama Curtis, Michael Boykin, and Bishop Arvetra Jones, just to name a few.

Nightly Showcases also took place each night at 7:30p.m. at Village Life Church, 8029 National Service Road, Greensboro, NC where Dr. George A. Pass is the Senior pastor.

This was truly a productive week for anyone who attended who loved Gospel music.

Well Done, NCGAG, Bishop Arvetra Jones and Michael Boykin.
