President Barack Obama continues his efforts to get young people to buy health insurance through the exchanges, and he went on The Madd Hatta Morning Show on our sister station, 97.9 The Box, to urge people to get insured.

Madd Hatta asked the president about how he felt about the Affordable Care Act being called “Obamacare.”

“No, not at all, because I think this is going to end up being one of the most important things that we’ve done in this country in decades,” Obama said.

After the interview, Madd Hatta told us that Obama wanted to specifically talk with his listeners.

“His thinking is, ‘We got to get young people a part of it.  Where are they at?’ and they’re listening to hip-hop music,” Hatta said.
