Where’s the most secure place to live in the Houston area?  Friendswood continues to score high in the Neighborhood Scout annual rankings of safest cities.  This year’s list names Friendswood the 32nd safest city in America.  Friendwood City spokesman Nick Haby says he’s not surprised by the high placement.  “I think it’s a good testament to the time and effort put in by our police chief and his staff, and we’re privileged to have such a dedicated police force in Friendswood.”

Haby says a lot of the credit goes to the police department’s neighborhood-oriented approach, and the town’s residents.  “I think when it comes to safety in Friendswood, we can’t safe enough about our residents, reporting suspicious activity and looking out for themselves and for their neighbors.”

And Haby also thinks it helps that there are no major highways running through town to give crooks a quick getaway.  By the way, Missouri City also made the top 100, coming in at 89th.
