Call to Action: Houston joins 99 other cities including Atlanta, New York, Detroit and more in a peaceful protest for Trayvon Martin organized by Reverend Al Sharpton!
In response to the unjust verdict in the George Zimmerman trial, Reverend Al Sharpton and the National Action Network (NAN) organized a national day of peaceful protest. Regional NAN representative, Bishop James Dixon along with a host of area pastors, community, civic leaders and elected officials organized the Houston rally. The rally took place on Saturday, July 20, at 11am on steps of Houston City Hall near the reflection pool.
