The weather has been the factor in delaying the Space Shuttle Endeavour’s arrival to Houston but come Wednesday, tumultuous weather conditions are expected to be a thing of the past.

The scheduled visits to Houston of the aircraft for Monday and Tuesday were delayed and NASA detailed those plans to cancel the Monday and Tuesday arrivals in a statement this week: “In cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration, the shuttle carrier aircraft is scheduled to conduct low-level flyovers at about 1,500 feet above locations along the planned flight path.”

As several flyovers or stopovers planned, those could also be delayed or even cancelled if weather does not permit.

If NASA officials cancel the ferry flight again, NASA will issue another advisory. The Space Shuttle Endeavour is expected to leave the Kennedy Space Center at sunrise Wednesday.

The shuttle was also scheduled to stay in Houston overnight Wednesday, take off early Thursday morning and arrive in California on Friday. NASA officials are keeping a keen eye on the weather with alternate transportation plans sitting at bay for Shuttle Endeavour.
