According to reports, authorities arrested a 20-year-old pregnant woman on Wednesday after getting a call from employees from a tattoo business. The woman, named Stephanie Irene Santana was found passed out behind the wheel of her car in front of Dago’s Tattoos along the North Freeway in the early morning hours of Wednesday.

According to investigators, Santana walked into the tattoo business inquiring about a piercing and a tattoo. As employees of the tattoo parlor feared she was too intoxicated, they refused her business. They later learned that she had left her one-year-old daughter outside in the car by herself. Santana then got back in her car.

Employees of the tattoo shop followed Santana in her car as she drove off of the shop’s parking lot. Later, police reportedly found Santana passed out behind the wheel of her car. They recovered beer bottles and Xanax pills as well as Santana’s one-year-old child; the baby was not injured.

Santana was given a field sobriety test and failed it. She was later arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance. According to Harris County court records, Santana was already on probation for theft charges at the time of her arrest.
