Makes: 4-inch waffles
1/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups 1.5% buttermilk
1/4 cup extra-light olive oil
4 tablespoons honey
Directions

In a small skillet, cook the oats over medium-high heat, shaking the pan often, until lightly toasted, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl to cool.
