Nearly 70-percent of people admit they’ve re-gifted a holiday present.

An ongoing “USA Today” survey says the most likely re-gifter is a co-worker, followed by family members.

Asked why website visitors think most people recycle gifts, 49-percent of the more than 21-hundred who offered an opinion say they just want to get rid of the item.

Twenty-nine-percent say the gift-giver is trying to save money while 20-percent believe the gift is more suitable for another person.

While family members are among the most likely to hand off something they’ve been given for the holidays, the least likely is a close friend.
