The opinion molding of the mainstream press is truly amazing. Right now we are blessed with a Lieutenant Governor of one of our most important states – Florida – and they are acting like she doesn’t exist.Florida is a very important state to our union and the Lieutenant Governor is the number two position of power. It is very important and for an African American female to win the election to that post deserves serious public attention. Florida’s Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll is a friend of mine and I am immensely proud of her endorsement by the voters of the great state of Florida. She took office January 4. 2011 but you don’t see any newspaper articles about that. Don’t worry; she will make the news in a very big way. Jennifer is a fighter and a trail blazer. What she will do in the near future will make Florida a better state and an example for the rest of America.

She has been an excellent State Representative for the State of Florida and has occasionally challenged Congresswoman Corrine Brown for the congressional seat in Jacksonville, FL. The racial abuse that goes on in this district is legendary but, for some reason, we cannot wake up the citizens enough to make changes. Changes can now be made through executive action and the yoke of federal oppression can now be removed. We now have someone committed and dedicated to the people, not the power abusers, who are not afraid to make the proper changes. Florida is about to get better and that will be good for the whole nation.

It has been a pure enjoyable experience working with Jennifer over the last ten years. We are kindred spirits and move in the same direction towards Black Economic Empowerment which is compatible with economic empowerment for all of America. Her vision is a vibrant Florida economy that includes all segments and will lead our nation to greatness. An economically vibrant Florida will ensure an economically vibrant United States. My bags are packed and I will be moving to Florida shortly.

She has just come into office but her actions are fierce and impactful already. She called my office and requested that I come and keynote the Black History Month event in February talking about the virtues of Booker T. Washington and Black capitalism. I will certainly be there! Shortly after that she called my office and issued this request: Harry, give me a list, with contact information, of the largest Black owned businesses in America. I want to personally call them and convince them to move their businesses to Florida. Florida wants good businesses, especially Black owned businesses, which will provide jobs to our communities and show our children what they could be. We don’t have state income tax and have a great quality of life replete with fair weather and some of the greatest people on earth. All successful Black entrepreneurs should consider Florida as their place of residence.

This is most encouraging. No other state official in this nation has such a mindset. Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll is going to make a big difference. We are happy that she will be keynoting at our 19th Annual Convention in Miami, July 21 – 23, 2011, where we can drive home her initiative to bring Black owned businesses to Florida. Florida is becoming the “Mecca” for Black owned businesses. This is purely refreshing.

As we are having our trials and tribulations with state governments in California, Illinois and other states, we are seeing a great breath of fresh air from Florida. This is certainly encouraging and we will take advantage of the opportunity before us. FLORIDA IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS. Let us all take time to seriously consider this invitation and opportunity. What other state elected official is claiming that his state is the best for Black owned businesses.

Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll is a trailblazer. She is going to make Florida a better place for small business and we encourage all of our constituents to consider moving to a state that is conducive to small business. This isn’t rhetoric as she moves with action. She understands her power and will use it for the best interest of the citizens of Florida. It is refreshing to see an elected official who understands her roll and will use that opportunity to make a better world for all of us. Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll is a blessing to America. I guess that is why the mainstream press acts likes she doesn’t exist. We know she exists and will follow her leadership to successful heights.
