Hackers send their malicious code to Microsoft all the time. When their machine crashes, it asks if they want to report the crash to Microsoft, and the funny thing is many say yes.

This sends the entire memory dump file to Microsoft, including their code that made the system crash. “It´s amazing how much stuff we get,” says Rocky Heckman. He spoke at the Microsoft Tech.Ed 2010 conference session about the top 5 hacking methods.

“The first thing [script kiddies] do is fire off all these attacks at Microsoft.com,” he said. “On average we get attacked between 7000 and 9000 times per second at Microsoft.com,” said the senior security architect.
