The Houston Independent School District’s “Free Summer Meals” program begins today. It’s open to all children who live in Houston. There is no paperwork involved and no registration is needed. A child does not have to be enrolled in summer school to receive a free meal.

Children up to 18 years old can stop by a participating school from 7:30am to 8:30am weekday mornings for breakfast and from 10:30am to 12:30pm for lunch.

The meals will be offered Monday through Friday, beginning on Monday, June 7, and will continue through Friday, July 2.
