Happy Monday Saints. I thought I’d SHed some light on the rocket nation for all of us rockets fans. The draft is near and you may have said to yourself mannnnn we got #14???

Houston’s draft position comes as no surprise – the club entered Wednesday night’s lottery with a greater than 98 percent chance to stay put at No. 14 by virtue of possessing the best record (42-40) of all the league’s non-playoff teams.

Still, the Rockets should be expected to add another valuable young player when all is said and done. This year’s talent pool has been lauded for its depth and Houston has negotiated the draft expertly during General Manager Daryl Morey’s tenure with the team, having acquired gifted players such as Aaron Brooks, Chase Budinger and Carl Landry in recent years – all of whom were selected either late in the first round or somewhere in the second.

Furthermore, a glance at draft history reveals that plenty of productive players have been chosen with the No. 14 pick, most notably Hall of Famer and Rockets’ legend Clyde Drexler back in 1983.
