HOUSTON—A much-needed police substation has been added to a high-crime area in southwest Houston.
Mayor Parker, Chief Charles McClelland and other city leaders officially opened the new Midwest police station Tuesday near Fondren and Harwin.
HPD said not only will the station provide more security for the area, but people are also welcomed to use the building for community meetings and other activities.
