Some of the world’s top professional baseball athletes and coaches, including Albert Pujols (Cardinals), Brian Roberts (Orioles), Torii Hunter (Angels), Lance Berkman (Astros) and Matt Capps (Nationals), share what Christ means in their lives—both on and off the field—in the first-ever FCA Baseball New Testament. The resource was developed jointly by Biblica (formerly International Bible Society) and FCA.

The FCA Baseball New Testament is not the first time these two organizations have worked together. “Since 1992, the partnership between Biblica and FCA has resulted in the distribution of more than a half-million New Testaments,” said Dan Britton, FCA Executive Vice President, Ministry Programs.

But, unlike any other FCA resource, this baseball-specific New Testament not only contains life lessons and testimonies from world-famous professional baseball players and coaches, it also includes reading and study tools for those new to God’s Word. It also features the full text of the Holman Christian Standard Bible New Testament along with full-color action photos of featured athletes/coaches.

“FCA Baseball Ministry wants to develop resources that will enable our local staff to reach the baseball community for Christ. We feel this resource will be a Kingdom builder. Baseball players and coaches may not read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, but they may read about Brian Roberts, Matt Capps and Albert Pujols. That’s why we developed this resource,” said David Daly, FCA National Baseball Ministry Director.

FCA Baseball is a comprehensive national ministry that incorporates ministry to athletes and coaches at all levels of baseball: professional, college and youth. They conduct youth clinics, coaches and parent seminars, and field various age levels of competitive teams for players and coaches to improve their baseball skills as well as grow spiritually. They train athletes and coaches to become godly role models to those whom they influence. For more information on FCA Baseball Ministry, please visit http://www.fcabaseball.org
