Legacy Community Health Services is a full-service Community Health Center that provides comprehensive, primary healthcare services to all Houstonians in a culturally sensitive, judgment-free and confidential environment. Legacy has specialized in HIV/AIDS testing, education, treatment and social services since the early 1980s.We also provide low-cost care for other chronic health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Legacy provides services to all members of the family, including children, at 3 clinic locations and 1 eye clinic.
Healthcare services include annual exams, sports and school physicals, immunizations, women’s exams, flu shots, and testing and treatment for diabetes, high blood pressure and HIV/AIDS. Other services at Legacy are eye care services, including prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses, psychiatry, mental health counseling, family planning and nutritional counseling.
Legacy accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and many health insurance plans. For Houstonians without health insurance, most of Legacy’s healthcare services are offered on a sliding scale fee based on the person’s annual income.
