According to the Houston Texans website, Texans linebacker Brian Cushing decided not to play in this years pro bowl due to injuries. Although a Rookie Cushing had sustained multiple injuries.

“This was a long season and due to several injuries, specifically my knee and finger, we’ve made a decision to rest my body. My health is the most important thing at this point.” Cushing Said.

The Texans had a team record four players selected this season. All Pro Wide receiver Andre Johnson, who will start in the game, along with linebacker DeMeco Ryans, defensive end Mario Williams and just added quarterback Matt Schaub. This is the 1st season that the game will be held beofre the super bowl airing on Sunday, Jan. 31.

You can still vote Cushing for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year award, for which fan voting ends on Feb. 2.
