
Bengals’ Henry Dies At 26
(Charlotte, NC) – Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry has died. The “Charlotte Observer” confims the death of the 26-year-old. Henry was involved in a domestic incident with his fiancee in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday. The “Charlotte Observer” reported that Henry jumped into the back of a moving truck that his fiancee was driving. The dispute between the two reportedly continued and Henry came out of the back of the truck. It’s not immediately clear if Henry fell or if he was forced out.
Henry was selected by the Bengals out of West Virginia in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He had 12 catches for 236 yards and two touchdowns before he was placed on season-ending injured reserve on November 9th due to a fractured left forearm. In five seasons with the Bengals, Henry hauled in 119 passes for 1,826 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also had a string of off-the-field incidents that led to 14 games worth of suspensions.
