Well praise family, we are almost at the end of 2009 and whew! this year blew by fast. Things are accelerating around us a breakneck speed. We now have HD televisions with flat screens, something that was unheard of just 10 years ago. We have GPS devices, faster computers with ever growing hard drives, and we are able to watch our favorite television shows and even listen to this radio station online. The time we are living in is truly remarkable. Which brings me to why I was lead to write this blog. The word that I heard tonight was study to show yourself approved as written in 2Timothy 2:15. Always read your word and ask God to give you understanding of what you read. Don’t just take what you hear on sunday morning for granted. The men of God are there to instruct you and teach you but, you should always take notes so you can study the scriptures for yourself. It’s not enough that your pastor knows the word. You must also know the word, in doing so you will be able to rightly divide the word of truth.
As the world moves forward, it is a must for us as believers to know the word and LIVE the word. If you know the word, you will easily spot false things that you hear at work, on tv or anywhere you go.
God has much in store ahead for those who truly love him. Let me encourage you, no matter what you are going through right now, get in the word and Let God minister to you. Ask him for wisdom and he will give it to you.
