The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture and the Houston public library presents “Save our African-American Treasures” Saturday, October 29 from ten a.m. until four p.m. at the central library, located at 500 McKinney street, Houston. Bring up to three treasured objects to be reviewed free in a one-on-one consultation with museum experts. You could be in possession of a significant piece of African-American history! Ceramics, uniforms, quilts, photos, historic documents and much more are welcome. Attendees will receive a free treasures preservation kit! Come to the central library on Saturday, October 29th from 10am until 4pm and help save our African-American treasures.
