(CONROE, TX) — A Conroe group would like you to help them provide back to school supplies for the children of military families who are having a hard time making ends meet on an Army budget.

It’s called “Operation Backpack.” Each year, the nonprofit group Honor Bound gives out supplies to the children of needy military families stationed with the Army Reserves unit at Lone Star Executive Airport in Conroe.

Honor Bound hopes to provide school supplies to at least 125 students this year, but like always they have more need than funds.

Each backpack costs about $100 to put together.

While each backpack doesn’t provide everything the student needs, organizers said it does helps them get off to a good start.

You can donate by dropping off money or school supplies at Kustom Sun Tanning in Conroe. Make checks payable to Operation Backpack.
