KATY, TX (Covering Katy) — During their monthly Work Study Meeting on Monday, the Katy ISD Board of Trustees announced Yvette Sylvan as the new principal of Franz Elementary School.
Sylvan began in Katy ISD in her current role as assistant principal of Stephens Elementary in 2007, and previously served as a teacher for Alief Independent School District for nine years.
Sylvan holds a Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and a Master of Science in education management from the University of Houston.
