FBI images of “John Doe 28″

(HOUSTON) — The FBI is hoping you can help them identify an unknown male who is suspected of sexually exploiting a child.

The man, known only as John Doe 28, has been on the radar since November 2012 when images and video were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Those images and video reportedly show him engaging in sexually explicit activities with a child.

The Latest News Headlines, Traffic and Weather:

Investigators enhanced the images, and they believe there are several clues that could help someone out there identify him.

For example, the video shows the man and the victim inside a residence with what appears to be a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on a wall in the background. The man is wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy T-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on the left side.

It’s unknown where in the U.S. this man is located. He appears to be a Caucasian male, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with a receding hairline.

Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip online at FBI.gov or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

No charges have been filed in this case, and the pictured individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. This man is being sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program initiatives, both of which represent strategic partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Operation Rescue Me focuses on utilizing clues obtained through in-depth image analysis to identify the child victims depicted in child exploitation material, while ECAP seeks national and international media exposure of unknown adults (referred to as John/Jane Doe) who visibly display their faces and/or other distinguishing characteristics in association with child pornography images.
