Happy monday saints.
Although today is a little rough because our Houston Texans lost in a last second defeat, I can’t help but be excited about the fact that the Houston cougars crack the NCAA top 25. I formally played for the U niversity of Houston and the Top 25 was no where in our sites but I celebrate this morning with them and coogs fans all around. The Cougars are 6-0 on the season and 2-0 in Conference USA. They are coming off a 56-3 destruction of East Carolina on Saturday at Robertson Stadium.
When the polls came out it wasn’t a shock for most. A big reasons for the win was the defense. They had nine sacks and forced four turnovers and held the other team to under 300 yards. Here’s senior defensive lineman David Hunter talking about the UH defense after last night’s game:
