Several agencies, including the Houston Fire Department, West I-10, Cy-Fair and other volunteer fire departments were battling the flames at the park on Westheimer Road near state Highway 6.
The smoke from the fire could be seen from miles away. Officials have not said how many acres have burned. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
