CNN.com is reporting that a 5.8 magnitude earthquake rattled the nations capitol, Washington D.C. and it was felt up to 90 miles away in New York and in parts of Ohio. Reporters are saying that you could clearly feel the ground move, buildings were shaking and things were falling off of the grounds. The Pentagon has been completely evacuated along with other businesses and local residents in D.C. awaiting further instruction from security and officials.
There has been no report that the White House has been affected by this but we do know that President Obama is not in D.C.
