It is a very sad time for Bobby Brown and his family, as he is grieving the loss of his mother.

On Monday, Whitney Houston sang at her former mother-in-law’s funeral in Boston, Mass. According to reports, Houston sang twice at the remembrance service for her former mother-in-law, Carole Brown, who passed away Thursday (Jan 20) in Los Angeles at 69 years-old.

Houston sang gospel song “Precious Lord Take My Hand” and she later joined Brown’s New Edition bandmates for “Never Would Have Made It.”

In addition to the singing, the former New Edition singer is now committing his life to celebrating the life of his mother.

“It is a sad time for me right now. I am experiencing a tremendous loss but I vow to celebrate her life in every way that I can with my entire family, including my fiancée Alicia, and my children Bobbi Kristina, LaPrincia, Bobby, Jr. and Cassius,” Brown stated in a press release.
