Wow! The state of the union address that was given by President Obama was the most concise, inspiring and realest that i have ever heard. Simply put, he told it like it was and stepped on a couple toes in the process. He told the republican members that they could not just say no to everything because that is not leadership. He also told the democratic members, in effect, to not get puffed up because they still have the greatest majority in decades, but to continue to stand and work for the american people.

There were a couple of issues that i disagreed with such as the don’t ask don’t tell policy of the military. I think that should stand and not be done away with for various reasons but overall I think he really means well.

So with that said, let’s give him a chance; change can’t happen overnight and as the scripture says in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

Let us do just that!

Memorable Quote – “I never said change would be easy. When you try to do big things & make big changes it stirs passions & controversy—that’s just how it is.” Barack Obama
